The music association BEL CANTO Ueckermünde e. V. is the address for classical singing. For us, the voices of the people are paramount. They are a unique instrument in many ways and inspire us with their diversity and individuality. Therefore, as an association, we have made it our task to promote young singing talents. At the same time, it is important to us to actively help shape the cultural landscape of our region. We regularly organize concerts for classical music, which attract listeners from Ueckermünde and the surrounding area.
We also organize international singing competitions online to encourage singers around the world to make their voices heard.

Wonderful BEL CANTO Christmas concert in the Town Hall of Ueckermünde
On Saturday, 7 December, the BEL CANTO Ueckermünde e.V. music association and the town of Ueckermünde jointly organised a Christmas concert in the Town Hall of Ueckermünde. The concert was performed by young singers from Germany, Poland and China. The region was represented by students from the singing class of Prof. Dr Dr Sylwia Burnicka-Kalischewski (Kreismusikschule Uecker-Randow): Hanna Lisa Karbe, soprano and Johann-Daniel Schwebs, baritone. They were accompanied by pianist Romuald Kalischewski on the grand piano. The other artists of the evening were students of the Szczecin University of Arts: soprano Liu Yaxuan, mezzo-soprano Weronika Włodarczyk (both studying under Prof. Dr Dr Sylwia Burnicka-Kalischewski) and baritone Piotr Figielski, who is taught by Prof. Paweł Wolski. All three were accompanied on the piano by Agnieszka Barańska. The audience was able to enjoy numerous duets with an international cast, such as Humperdinck's ‘Abendsegen’, Mozart's ‘Ave verum’ (sung by Hanna-Lisa Karbe and Weronika Włodarczyk), Leo Delibe's beautiful floral duet from the opera ‘Lakme’, Mozart's and Donizetti's duets ‘Ave Maria’, which Liu Yaxuan and Weronika Włodarczyk interpreted enchantingly, or the duet Guglielmo / Dorabella from the Mozart opera ‘Cosi fan tutte’ with Weronika Włodarczyk and the charming Piotr Figielski. Between the duets, the soloists delighted the audience with their skilful interpretation of various arias, carols and traditional German Christmas songs. Hanna-Lisa Karbe and Johann-Daniel Schwebs proved to be indispensable. The concert evening was hosted by Heidi Michaelis, who underlined the wonderful atmosphere with her typical humour. The large audience rose from their seats and gave the performers a warm and friendly round of applause and rewarded them with many compliments after the concert. The joint singing of the Christmas carol ‘O du fröhliche’ rounded off the extremely successful event.
